It is 4:30 am in Honolulu and we are up scurrying around getting ready for an even longer leg of our trip. Luckily, we are semi-adjusted to Hawaii time and should fare the time-change a little better. Brian is now requesting that we go kick-kick (swimming) now. We have told him that is not possible right now and so he is crying and asking for Granny. (When Brian doesn't get something he wants, he cries and asks for the other one of us who is not there. If we are both there, he asks for Granny!). Anyway, I don't want it to sound like he is that bad. It IS 4:30 in the morning and he is already 5 hours off his normal time zone.
The flight on China Airlines to Taipei today is 11 hours long. We only have 1 hour to change planes in Taipei and then only an hour in Hong Kong to change planes AND AIRLINES to Cathay Pacific. Now what do you think the chances are that our bags are going to make it to Saigon tonight?? To add to my worries, Rick pointed out an article that a Delta plane lost power in an engine and had to go back to Seattle last night. Great, that's all I need! There are no islands to land on (besides Midway) between here and Taipei!!
Well, better get packed up. Catching the taxi to the airport at 5:00!
